How to connect Oracle tables from QlikView using ODBC?

Create a New DSN using  oracle ODBC driver:

This ODBC driver is if you installed Oracle Client. Otherwise you will need to download and install the client from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/downloads/index.html

Configure the DSN:

Test the connection using your User name and Password:

If your connection is valid, You will get the  “Connection Successful” message.
Now, your DSN name Created Successfully.

Open QlickView Desktop then click on    Edit Script” icon, select the ODBC on database tab and Click  the Connect button.

Select your DSN name (created in previous step) and put the schema username and password then click Test Connection:

If you created the DSN name under User DSN tab, you cannot see the DSN name. Check the “Show User DSNs” Option to see user DSNs.

After your connection test succeeded, create a “SELECT” statement for the table you need:

On Fields tab select your column(s) then click “Add

From Layout menu, Choose “Rearrange Sheet Objects” Option to re-arrange the selected columns.
